Introduction lessons for BMX, Mountain Biking or Road cycling – We can organise training sessions for specialist bike riding skills where there is sufficient interest in schools.
Dr Bike – Dr Bike is available to attend a wide range of events and offers free check-ups and repairs for bikes of students, parents and teachers.
Bike Maintenance classes – pupils can learn basic bike maintenance skills including how to fix punctures, brakes and gears – essential knowledge for teenagers who want to become travel independent.
Bike buddying - We support bike buddying schemes linking together experienced cyclists with less confident cyclists to offer support so that journey from home to school is more enjoyable.
Personalised Travel Planning – we offer a tailored travel advice service for staff and for pupils showing the quietest and safest route to school by walking and cycling, and the cheapest options using public transport.
After school cycling clubs – we support after schools cycling clubs with free route maps and can offer cycling instruction, led rides and cycle maintenance courses to club members.
Bike renovation projects – we can provide qualified cycle maintenance instructors to schools interested in creating after school cycle maintenance courses or integrating these courses within existing DT modules.
