Our volunteering opportunities including the following activities:
- Walking Group Leader – become a walk leader, and help others explore
- Office Support Volunteer – Volunteer in our offices and boost your CV
TravelRight offers all our volunteers a free enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check before you start.
A variety of free training is available to help boost your confidence and experience with a range of different activities. The specific training on offer depends on what kind of activities you’d like to be involved with, including the following:
An introduction to TravelRight: All volunteers interested in promoting TravelRight services at public events and within their community will first attend an Introduction to TravelRight session. This includes a briefing on all aspects of TravelRight services and is followed by interactive communicating and engaging with the public session. These sessions are designed to give you the experience to offer active travel advice to the public and to feel confident and have fun while you do it!
Walk leader training: Can’t find a guided walking group on our Guided walks page to suit you? How about becoming a walk leader yourself? TravelRight can help you set up your own new walking group. We offer free Walk Leader Training to give you the confidence and knowledge to run your own walks. We can also provide free maps and advertise your walking group throughout the community to help you get your new walking group off the ground.
